Julius Yego, Kenya and Africa champion, broke the national record last weekend in Finland athletic fields, after seeing Youtube videos to "sharpen" their skills and abilities. Yego exceeded the record reaching 81.12 meters.

The blog SportsKenya [at] lists the exploits of Yego:

Participating in an event that has never been a specialty in Kenya, much less in Africa, he (Yego) managed to hone his skills and even better his technique using this platform for social media (YouTube). And being true to the word, its improved ability and technique earned him the first gold medal in a field event for Kenya in the "All-Africa Games 2011" in the Mozambican capital of Maputo. This he did by beating the national record until then marked a record 78.34 m throw.

Hoping to improve his release before the event begins in July and August, Yego surely will join the legion of men and women athletes who have been part of the Olympics not only to become champions, but also for the simple fact participate in this great sporting event. And he still recognizes the role of social media in their daily lives to help him become the world leader in the sport of javelin ... thanks to YouTube!

Heart, Soul & Mind [to] make it clear to those who encourage:

Compete in 4 × 400m relays for men and we representation in games with Julius Yego field holding his javelin (first for us). In the ring Gicharu Ben and Elizabeth Andiego take the flag. No doubt I'll be awaiting the Olympics this year, success for the Kenya team and enjoy the strength and the lessons that sport always brings.

Highlighting Yego classes, Kenyatech [in] shows what Kenyans can use Youtube:

Some people even use it to learn and perfect their skills in sports, hobbies or art, including gold medalist in javelin July Yego YouTube used for guidance. YouTube plans to bring together partnerships with local communities, farmers, private companies to promote and support this model of "entertainment-education", aiming not only to broadcast video streams, but also provide this through a local interface that provides information relevant to Kenyans.

In an unprecedented move, YouTube plans to broadcast live [in] the impact of the Olympics:

Yes, the 2012 Olympic Games will be broadcast live on Channel International Olympic Committee has on YouTube 64 countries worldwide. NBC, the official broadcaster of the Olympic Games, is associated with YouTube to provide a constant transmission of the Olympic competition. This is the first year that each event of the Olympics will be available to viewers, whether on the beach, drinking sangria outside enjoying the summer or in the comfort of your own cabin at work! So while some may open accounts in bars to watch the Olympics, others ... will be opening their own and watching the games directly on YouTube!
