In 2011, journalist Hollman Morris and Juan José Lozano filmmaker released the documentary Impunity , an audiovisual tour through the history of armed conflict in Colombia through the voices of victims of armed actors.

For its theme, Impunity has generated all kinds of opinions, and the internet links in this regard are proof of that.

For example, the blog Talking Young describre documentary as follows:

This is a documentary that reflects the reality of the Victims of Armed Conflict and specifically shows the current process of the Justice and Peace for the families and relatives of the disappeared, killed, kidnapped and tortured by paramilitarism and impunity and low speed justice processes, which show the truth and access to redress.

For his part, thinks the win brings some views that were on Twitter in July 2011 , as the journalist Jorge Luis Galeano ( @ pastoman ):

Impacted by # Impunity, the open secrets of this country, counting from the pain of victims and the cruelty of the perpetrators

Or the doctor and former mayor of Cali, Jorge Ivan Ospina ( @ JorgeIvanOspina ):

# Impunity to think, to deliberate, to never happen again, for our people, for life, for survival of our people

However, the reactions of 2011 are not the only who have been in the network. On Sunday 29 January 2012 Capital Channel aired the documentary, making # Impunity in issue of the day on Twitter and revealing the common desire against the end of the Colombian internal armed conflict.

Nicolas Quintero's blog The tricycle wrote how much he touched the documentary :

I was shocked and very touched. Moved by the pain of the victims and anger at the way in which, as a society, we have tried, privileging the political narrative of the necessary evil of their own pain.

He continued:

I think the important thing is that it manages Impunity change the axis on which the majority of Colombian society has approached the problem of paramilitarism. The theory that the killing had to die, the theory that if he was killed by something. But seeing the heartbreaking tears, the pain of so many people, one wonders why we have given reason, as a society, to this theory.

Days later, surfers and Silvia Alarcon ( @ silvialarcon ), asked:

@ Cass1808 wears # Impunity? We arranged the foreign inv, mobility, but and the dead? X ignore our comfort? I do not!

Maria Velasco also wrote in his blog , explaining that it was not a fan of Hollman Morris:

The documentary is really strong, and I understand because it generates such extreme reactions. But that Hollman Morris is prone to show (if not a diva) not completely invalidate what he says.

It's also good to remember that those who refuse are more general, victims of the guerrillas of one form or another, and that in his mind justified the paramilitaries. In Colombia almost everyone is a victim, making it difficult to discuss the conflcto [sic] in a rational way.

Similarly, environmental Aviary referred the matter , saying:

Impunity is equally true that is less "narrative urgency" that most documentaries and journalistic work of Morris, limited by their poor visual language of political hatred and contaminated the journalist (after all, given his star status and is which was on Monday, has failed to take his own barrage of Uribe. Referring to Morris was recognized for being a critic of the president Alvaro Uribe.

Initially the film was on Vimeo demand , although several sites talking about self-censorship of the documentary . In June 2011, RNW interviewed the filmmaker Juan Lozano:

What is preventing in Colombia dissemination of the documentary "Impunity"?
[...] We face all the pressures to which the victims are facing daily. And not only the victims: and the judges of the Supreme Court, lawyers, human rights defenders. Pressures from dark areas ranging from intimidation, threats, illegal wiretapping of calls, emails. [...]

The interview also asked about self-censorship:

What these difficulties you call an atmosphere of self-censorship?
[...] The situation in Colombia is highly polarized and there are many people in Bogotá who prefer not to complicate your life or getting into trouble, and that means not to show the documentary.
Privately favor of the film and agree that these issues should be disseminated in bulk, because we filmed the last ten years of historical Colombian something that had not done so visual.
The film will be distributed alternatively in towns and cities. It is important that people in cities can see this documentary

In February this year, netizens as Diana Marcela ( @ DianaMarcela ) found that the links to see online Impunity had gone:

# Impunity was censored, I had seen on vimeo and youtube, now is not anywhere! @ HollmanMorris

As I write this post, on the Internet can find a summary of 30 minutes , although the actual duration of the audiovisual work is one hour and 25 minutes . Can follow the latest news of the documentary in their official Facebook .
