Paris, called the Centre Pompidou. The capital of France is definitely one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world (about 30 million visitors arrive each year.) On the banks of the Seine, offers many charms. In Paris, tourists have everything from wonderful food, unique fashion, architectural beauty (for its buildings and monuments) and natural (parks, gardens and dream) that wrap in fascination, plus a significant cultural heritage. In addition to the legendary Eiffel Tower (one of the most popular monuments on the planet), the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, Champs Elysees (a seventeenth century garden) or the Arc de Triomphe, Paris offers the National Center for Arts and Culture Georges Pompidou, for art lovers. This center has the National Museum of Modern Art (the largest in the European continent, with about 55,000 works), a research center and acoustic music, and a public access library.
It was inaugurated in January 1977 and actually turned out to be a revolution for the time, for his innovative style: it is square, has an industrial structure (for example, Parisians call it "gas factory") and has before it the ducts (water and electricity), stairs and other elements. Another peculiarity is that it was one of the first buildings of the High-tech architecture (which is characterized by innovation and technology.) The Pompidou Centre (popularly known as) was designed by architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. Twenty years after it was opened to the public was restored and reopened in 2000. Is, at present, one of the most visited monuments in the country: about six million people visit each year. What do you want to know?
