While the reputation and history of the Italian capital are broadly known by virtually all the world , it is good to have an overview of the main tourist attractions of Rome. Such was its importance during the long history that the city was the capital of the Roman Empire and is until today the administrative center and symbol of the Catholic Church.

A across the vast capital of Italy are intertwined and construction debris from three different millennia of human culture. For these reasons, Rome has been declared by UNESCO as World Heritage.

Logically, one of the points of greatest interest to travelers is the Vatican City, which operates as an independent state and is located in the west of the city. In addition, Rome each year attracts millions of visitors thanks to the artistic wealth of museums and the profound visual impact of the ancient ruins.

If we talk of museums in Rome , we have to mention again the state of the Vatican, which is also one of the richest artistic centers of the world, standing above all the beautiful Sistine Chapel. It also means an interesting experience to visit the National Gallery of Ancient Art and the Capitoline Museums.

Other centers of attraction for tourists are: the Colosseum, probably the greatest symbol of ancient Roman civilization, the Column of Trajan , the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Forum and the Rooms of Raphael, among many others.
