The Argentine guard Manu Ginobili, the San Antonio Spurs, will undergo an operation to straighten his battered left ankle.

Manu Ginobili, best sixth man last season, was injured in a game of the series San Antonio Spurs - Phoenix Suns playoffs the past and, after undergoing rehabilitation all summer, could play the Olympics with your choice to try to revalidate the Olympic title.

However, in the semifinals against the U.S. team, Manu Ginobili was injured in the first quarter and did not return after the game. Subsequent testing has revealed that the injury has worsened and requires surgery, although no further damage to the ankle ligaments. The surgery will probably be next week and then the Spurs will announce when you can reinstate the discipline of the Argentine guard team.

Miami Heat's Jamaal Magloire fiche

With Shaquille O'Neal traded to Phoenix Suns (long ago) and Alonzo Mourning injured since last December (although it is expected to reappear in 2009), the Heat have secured the services of Jamaal Magloire, a center that since its AllStar in 2004 as New Orleans Hornets player has done nothing but worsen their numbers.

We'll see what comes out as they play, but right now the Heat have not shown much confidence in the center, because before he asked for Theo Ratliff, Lorenzen Wright and four other veterans pivots (Magloire has 30 years now).
