Spain will play its sixth Davis Cup final after elimination in the semis to USA 4-1. Rafa Nadal managed to win the decisive point to Andy Murray in three sets.

6-4, 6-0, 6-4. Work done. The world No. 1 tennis player is a guarantee for this in the Davis Cup. Spain is now in its sixth final, which has won two and lost three. The history of Spanish final in Davis Cup is reduced almost to Australia. Of the five finals they have played so far, four have come against the Australians. The first two, they lost them. The third, in 2000, marked the first victory of the Spanish International Tournament. These three finals were against the Australians.

Like the fourth, where Spain lost in Melbourne. And the last, in 2004, Spain beat USA 3-2 and took the salad bowl.

After winning the first two games on Friday, Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer led the victory. But the doubles match fell on the side of Americans, leaving even some excitement for Sunday. Excitement was short lived, as Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray smashed later, with work done, Feliciano Lopez rounded the result to beat Sam Querry 7-6 7-6.

Spain will play the third bowl at home against Argentina or Russia, heat is yet to finish.
