Villarreal won 1-0 at Celtic

After a 0-0 draw at Manchester United against Villarreal took a giant step yesterday to qualify for second round of this Champions League, with a 1-0 victory at the Madrigal at Celtic.

A goal by captain Marcos Senna midway through the half gave the victory to the yellow submarine, in a game in which they suffered against a good field position on the Scottish set. And is that what we want, this is the Champions League and every game is important (the next game against Aalborg classification could mean half in his pocket).

In the same group, the Manchester United won the modest set by Danish AaB Aalborg 0-3 with a goal from Rooney and one from Berbatov, so the English side dominating the group E with 4 points, the same as Villarreal . Aalborg and Celtic are left with one point each.

Also yesterday the games were covered by group F and G. In the F, Bayern Munich drew with Olympique Lyon 1-1. Same tie, but without goals, was harvested by Steaua Bucharest in their field visit to Fiorentina. Thus, Bayern Munich takes advantage of its victory in Romania last weekend to stay first in the group F.

In group G, the Arsenal of London, led by our Cesc Fabregas to beat Porto 4-0 two goals from Van Persie and Adebayor two. Dynamo Kiev could not get the equalizer against Turkish side Fenerbahce in Turkey, 0-0.
