As noted a few days ago, today came the first provisional results of voting for holders quintets AllStar 2009, which will be played Feb. 15 in Phoenix, Arizona.

56317278

Dwight Howard is the most voted player with a whopping 775,933 votes. It will be the undisputed starting center for the Eastern Conference, as the following is Samuel Dalembert, Philadelphia, with 116,708.

Kobe Bryant is the second most votes, with 716,252 votes, leading the Western Conference. To finish voting today, players who would flock to in the quintets AllStar holders would be:

Eastern Conference:

Dwayne Wade (623,311), Allen Iverson (492,093), LeBron James (643,786), Kevin Garnett (495,514) and Dwight Howard (775,933)

Western Conference:

Chris Paul (406,220), Kobe Bryant (719,252), Tim Duncan (442,203), Amare Stoudemire (370,470) and Yao Ming (529,290)

Pau Gasol is fifth among West forwards with 260,374 votes, a thousand less than Dirk Nowitzki, fourth. The third is Carmelo Anthony, with 327,233. Meanwhile, Jose Calderon, also is fifth in the East guards, behind Vince Carter and Ray Allen, but followed closely by Luke Ridnour. Devin Harris and Derrick Rose, his two great rivals, are far behind.

Therefore, to remain so, our representatives would have many chances to play the AllStar, because the coaches will select seven reserves (1 center, 3 forwards and 3 guards, presumably). Anything is possible.

Yi Jianlian appears third in the Eastern Conference forwards, far away from Kevin Garnett. But, as we said, anything is possible.
