Don Nelson, now manager of Golden State Warriors, is increasingly close to becoming the coach who has won more games in the NBA. Last night, the Warriors won 133-120 at Oklahoma City Thunder.

Don

Only Lenny Wilkens is above Don Nelson. Wilkens has a number of victories as coach of the NBA of 1332 wins. Given that Don Nelson has signed a contract extension with the franchise from Oakland at least until 2010, more than likely that between this year and next year the figure will succeed in resolving Lenny Wilkens and become the winningest coach in history of the NBA.

In addition, a coach is very dear to his players, as the case of Stephen Jackson, Golden State Warriors captain (one of which they started to stick with the public at the Palace of Auburn Hills), Don Nelson because he is cutting minutes of play to be divided among the young hopefuls; they represent the workforce of the Warriors, and Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins, Anthony Morrow, and so on.

Don Nelson started training in 1976 with the Milwaukee Bucks, with two trophies to get Coach of the Year in 1983 and 1985. Then he moved on to coach the Golden State Warriors, where he would get another trophy for Coach of the Year, and then go on to coach the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks, bringing Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash to the Texas franchise. Since his arrival in Dallas are a winning team. Since 2006, Golden State Warriors coaches.

Despite being the second coach in 1300 to achieve victories in the NBA, never has won the championship ring. Lenny Wilkens won his only title in 1979 to train champion Seattle Supersonics.
