Rome wants to Formula 1. The Italian capital has only to meet the demands of the boss Bernie Ecclestone, although we do not know what they are. However, we can assume that they are suitable to Rome would host a street circuit.

Fear not fans Monza Grand Prix as this would remain. The arrival of the Italian capital to the calendar of Formula 1 would be in 2013, joining Monaco and Valencia (pending on what happens with the city of New York) and street circuits.

Ecclestone wrote a letter to the mayor of Rome: "Rome is a unique setting. I have spoken with Flammini (a former broker and promoter Formula 2 superbike, which is being carried around the roost) and I told him I will give a career in 2013 under standard conditions.

But president Max Mosley is not so keen on the idea that Rome hosting a GP, like the Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has said that the Grand Prix de Rome only be possible if removed to another Grand Prix schedule. We will be waiting for new news ... but until 2013 there is still time.
