Over the decades, the NBA has changed a lot. Before players just rising from the ground to shoot and do not stop now mate, we have gone from tight jeans to the widths, the dominance of American players is no longer so, thanks to the evolution of European basketball ... But one thing has changed: the percentage of accuracy in free kicks.

Since 1960, the percentage of academics in this discipline has been 69%. To get an idea of constant invention, in 1965 the percentage was 69% the same ... and last year of 68.8%. In recent years, as much has fallen to 67.1, but never passed 70.

In the NBA is a little better in that area, but over the years has been the constant 75%. Nothing has changed. If we talk about the WNBA (Women's League) the results are similar. It's funny, because in sports performance issues always tend to go better. The runners are faster, jump higher jumpers, throwers get to go further, and so on. But free throws are still there.

As we can see, the other two percentages (field goals and shot three) have improved, although in field goal percentage the 80's takes the cake. On free throws, since the 70s has hardly changed. The problem is that, far from the spectacular triple and mates, parties gain from the personal line. Typical move down one point at which the ball is possessed by the team that loses. If he had shot free throws better surely would not be in this great role. There are so spectacular, they will not make the audience jump ecstatically in his seat, but can give you a championship.
