A few months ago Bernie Ecclestone said he wanted to introduce a system of medals in Formula 1, so that the competition who won more Grands Prix have succeeded and, in case of tie, the most second places were achieved. In short, be charged the current system of competition.

MONACO F1 GRAND PRIX

But ultimately, the choice has finally coalesce within the Formula 1, to meet leaders of the FIA (Mosley) and FOM (Ecclestone), is to keep the scoring system but giving more advantage to the winner of each award. Thus, the scoring system is as follows:

12, 9, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 points.

As we see, the distance between the first and the other increases by one point, but not change the number of pilots who will score in each race. Likewise, the third also now have more advantage over fourth-placed, formerly a single point (6 and 5) and now increases to two (7 and 5)

They also agreed steps towards the general public. The technical data of equipment, fuel loads, the tire and others will be known to the public, to make the Fomula 1 more understandable and closer to people. In addition, brokers will be forced to sign autographs (they say it seems like they try at gunpoint).
