What they have in common Sergio Rodriguez, Rudy Fernandez and Jose Calderon? The answer is quite simple, all three are Spanish basketball players who play in the NBA. But there the similarities do not end because its equipment, Portland Trail Blazers and Toronto Raptors, the team share D-League, the developmental league of NBA.

A very common practice by the teams of the NBA is sending to players who do not give much of themselves or have to keep improving and enjoying a few minutes before joining the staff of his team to the Development League, officially called D - NBA Development League or League. Such was the case of players like Rafer Alston or Christian Andersen, who remember to participate in the Contest SlamDunk of AllStar few years ago.

Why send those players to the league instead of having them on staff? Very simple, because it is the NBA itself which controls the D-League, and each computer on the D-League is controlled by 2 teams in the NBA, Lakers and Spurs but not shared with anyone affiliated. At the site about the D-League from Wikipedia you can see the different teams in the D-League (no 16) and its affiliates in the NBA. It is curious to see some couples, as Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks, who control the Albuquerque Thunderbirds and were rivals in the Finals a couple years ago. Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers share the Idaho Stampede, which are precisely the reigning champions of the competition.

It is curious to note also the cities that host these EQUPAMIENTO, as referred to Albuquerque (as distinct Alburquerque, Extremadura), Tulsa (the Paris of Oklahoma, for friendmaniacos) or the curious name of Los Angeles D-Fenders.
