The NBA has two distinct parts: the regular season and playoffs. What we've seen all season change much in this post-season as there are teams that are grown in the fight for the title (San Antonio Spurs) and of others who go the funk (the Sacramento Kings era Webber, for example). The Eastern Conference is hot.

In the Eastern Conference there is only one team eliminated (Washington Wizards), and although we badly, another will be removed very soon, our countryman Jose Calderon: Toronto Raptors. For all other teams is a month of competition in which have to give the best of themselves to reach the playoffs. Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic have already qualified, while the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat should have no problem to qualify shortly. But then come the Sixers and the Pistons in a surprising seventh, and Milwaukee Bucks, who have all along to qualify. After that, by now stripped, led by the Chicago Bulls two games ahead of the rest of teams tied at 28 wins: New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets, Charlotte Bobcats and Indiana Pacers. The Knicks could get to the postseason for the first time in many years of labor Mike D'Antoni, which would serve to shut that ESPN analyst who said the team had no future. If this first year the team have managed to have a chance, soon the Knicks can be a reference.

As always, he notes, although less, the injustice of the Conferences, as the ninth-placed West, Phoenix Suns, would be in the No. 6 position in the East. However, it seems that the stranglehold of the West in recent years is coming to an end, as Toronto Raptors in the West would tenth place, while in the East occupies the 14th place.

What seems clear is that nobody is going to take to Los Angeles Lakers' home court advantage for all rounds of the West, while for the Finals has to fight Cavaliers (right now are tied), Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics, who are begging for the return to the slopes of Kevin Garnett. And is that how difficult it is to play without the star of your team ...
