Steven Gerrard is Liverpool until 2013

Midfielder Steven Gerrard, captain of the club in the city of the Beatles, will remain so at least until 2013, thanks to the contract extension announced today.

Thus, Gerrard will remain the bulwark of the team that raises more sympathy among the Spanish fans.
