Although, to be exact we should have said one of the most successful, because it shares, along with the late Red Auerbach, the record of championships with 9 titles.

It started as many coaches begin: in the park itself. But Phil Jackson, who had been a good player in his college years, not so lucky in the NBA, so it was a mere reservation of the New York Knicks who won two rings in the 70's.

When he finished his playing career in 1980 began leading teams in minor leagues like the CBA (the oldest professional basketball league in the world, although, obviously, is no longer for anything worthwhile). Unsuccessfully sought work in the NBA, but finally succeeded in 1989, the Bulls of Michael Jordan. Needless to say that his career became meteoric.

Because Jordan's Bulls gave their first 6 rings. In fact, just missed the title in three seasons with Chicago, he coached the first and two in the absence of Jordan. When Michael Jordan retired after his sixth ring, the team broke down and Phil Jackson left the workforce, saying that never again train.

A year later he thought again and landed in one of the biggest teams in the NBA: Los Angeles Lakers for Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. Three years in a row won three titles to his resume, but then started the love-hate history with Bryant and O'Neal did not get anything else. Phil Jackson decided to leave one year, but then return to the Lakers, where he trains now.
