When referring to the best tennis players in history, it is impossible not to think of great players like Pete Sampras racket, American of Greek origin, since it is the player with the most Grand Slam was won, with 14 tournaments. Pete Sampras managed to be as world No. 1 286 weeks, 102 consecutive (nearly two years) and got the already mentioned 14 titles in Grand Slam, but never won the Roland Garros. He won 5 U.S. Open, 2 Open in Australia and 7 Wimbledon. Between him and Andre Agassi returned the interest of the racket sports since formed a rivalry comparable to that which is alive today with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Andre Agassi is another American player from abroad, notably Armenian, winner of 8 Grand Slam titles, although he has indeed won a victory in each of them, not Sampras, winning the Roland Garros in 1999, also 1 Wimbledon, two U.S. Open and 4 open in Australia. In addition, he managed a victory in the Olympic Games, Atlanta in 1996, before the Spanish Sergi Bruguera. Andre Agassi is married to Steffi Graf also important, German, being the only woman to have won the Golden Slam, that is, winning all 4 Grand Slam in the same year (1988), also earning the same year, gold at the Seoul Olympics (when tennis was again an Olympic sport). The list of major players is endless, because we would have to mention the likes of John McEnroe, winner of 7 Grand Slams and famous for its bad temper, Björn Borg, Swedish, who won Roland Garros and Wimbledon for three consecutive years (the most difficult double tennis) and won the Roland Garros without dropping even a set, a feat that would make Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer, although the latter at the Open de Australia. Borg won 11 Grand Slams. And we can not forget the tennis star Chris Evert, also American, who managed to win 18 Grand Slams, the second best tennis player in the tennis of all time (in a classification that does not distinguish between women and men).
