Supercopa ACB, in the Canaries

We have date and location for the next Super ACB. Will be on 2 and 3 October 2009 in Gran Canaria, thereby acknowledging the large jump in baloncestístico panorama of the city.

As during the previous five years, a small tournament will be played between four teams, including the Regal FC Barcelona (champions league), Tau Ceramica (which shall cease to be Tau, to be champion of Copa), Real Madrid (Best national and European coefficient) and Kalise Gran Canaria (being the host team). In September, the raffle will matchmaking and present the players participating in the tournament triple and math.

This award is closely linked to that Gran Canaria also host matches of the 2014 World Cup, along with Madrid, Seville, Granada and Bilbao.

Previous winners of the Supercopa were FC Barcelona, the first edition, and four times champion Tau Ceramica, being the MVP Luis Scola, Tiago Splitter (twice) and Pablo Prigioni, who seems to be tempted by the New York Knicks. No Spanish player has been named MVP of the tournament.

Meanwhile, in the triple kill and do not know who will participate. The last winner was Serge Ibaka, preceded by Victor Claver, selected in the last NBA draft.
