When we heard this news first thing that comes to mind is the death of Marco Pantani, relatively speaking. Franck Vandenbroucke, a pro since 1993, had 34 summers when he was found dead. In the beginning was billed as a future superstar of cycling, managed to win classics like Liege - Bastogne - Liège or Paris - Nice in 1998, besides winning numerous stages in small races.

However, he was involved in doping cases that he got out of hand and began to hallucinate with things and people that were talking and were not there. As often happens in these cases, all fronts of life are marked down and the staff would be less. Franck Vandenbroucke's marriage was coming to sink and the rider looked farther and farther away from their daughters, which led to a suicide attempt that kept him rushed to hospital.

But people should never forget the genius behind (or, why not say in front) of all such cases. Franck Vandenbroucke not promise became Belgian on false grounds. His victories were exciting of which made you stay in your living room watching the hours watching television while enjoying one of the most abused in sports. What is clear is that something must be done against the scourge of doping, as many vested interests must be involved.
