We already have the first batch of qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup, to be played next summer in South Africa (although there will be little summer). These are the teams coming from different continents:

We have 23 qualified teams, which are:

Europe: Germany, Denmark, Slovakia, Spain, England, Italy, Netherlands, Serbia and Switzerland.

South America: Brazil, Paraguay, Chile and Argentina.

North and Central America, Mexico and Honduras.

Asia: Australia, North Korea, South Korea and Japan.

Africa: South Africa (host), Ivory Coast and Ghana.

Well, there are still 9 seats filled, which are:

4 posts Europeans: eliminitarias that will leave a double match among the eight best runners-up: Portugal, Greece, Slovenia, Russia, Bosnia, Ukraine, France and Ireland.

Norway will be out for being the worst sequel. Other countries will not be Turkey, Sweden and Croatia.

Among those who play the play-offs, excel Portugal, Greece, Russia and France, although the pairings can yield a clash between two titans. We have the winner of Euro 2004 (Greece), and fourth runner-up 2004 World Cup 2006 (Portugal), the 2006 runner-up champion in 2000 and 1998 (France) and Russia, a semifinalist at Euro 2008.

1 post U.S.: We played between Uruguay and Costa Rica, fifth-placed South American and fourth in North America and Central, respectively.

1 post Asia - Oceania: We're disputing between Bahrain and New Zealand. The first leg was 0-0 in Bahrain. The turn is played next month.

3 posts in Africa: is a game to finish the group stage and are not secured the top three groups (only Ghana and Ivory Coast have already done their homework).

Cameroon leads with a point on Gabon. Both play out, to Morocco and Togo, respectively. Tunisia has two points on Nigeria, and both play away to Mozambique and Kenya. And in Egypt and Algeria last play qualifying. Algeria has 3 points more than Egypt, and face each other in Egypt, as Egypt has to win by two or more goals to move the World Cup.
