The sports broadcaster Andres Mountains, famous in recent years for being the voice of The Sixth in any tournament that was played, was found dead at his home in Madrid at 53 years old. From EspacioDeportes want to give our condolences to the family as special commentator and better person.

Andres Montes journalism started in this sport in the eighties, through the COPE radio and later by Spanish television Antena 3. But it was on Canal + when he managed to carve out a name as an NBA commentator along with his inseparable, Daimiel Antoni, who spent long years with brightening up the mornings of the Spanish who saw the NBA. The League of basketball American has always been known for his show, its paraphernalia and attractive game, but managed to improve it Adrés Montes, adding a touch informal, humorous and, why not say, passionate. All motes that was placing each player (Air Jordan, why are you so good McGrady?, Article 34, the fuses, the longest tongue of the League, Siglo XXI Tim Duncan, the last emperor, Out of Africa ... ) remain in the memories of basketball fans, as we now know to be Mr. Calderon Catering and know that success lies in the Gasol artichokes de Sant Boi.

Say Daimiel Antoni was the basketball database, and Andres Montes that made him the carburetor. The stage in the NBA has come to an end and joined an emerging La Sexta to broadcast World Cup 2006 and also the Mundobasket 2006. He created the name of Tiki - Taka, as he managed to change the nickname to Puyol. Now everyone calls him Jaws. The architect, the sweet Iniesta, true Manchego cheese, Tom Cruise, Peter Saker, Sancho ... A host of nicknames that always culminated with a "because life can be wonderful." Precisely those were the words that marked his farewell to La Sexta and, ultimately, his last words heard in the common life of citizens.

From here I can only thank Andrés Montes for having brought so many smiles over the years. Some people did not appreciate his way of narrating the games but I loved it. To see what is happening, as I had my eyes. I can hardly believe it will never again hear a:

"But what about, Saliiiiiinas!?

Rest in Peace.
