The tennis Spanish is experiencing a golden age, and proof of this is that two of the 9 best players in the world are currently in Spain. They are Rafael Nadal and Fernando Verdasco, but there are others that springs forth from the crowd. Rafa Nadal is undoubtedly the flagship of the current generation of players. To that only 23, is number 2 in the world, behind only of Roger Federer. It was Rafael Nadal who won unseat the first in a year 2008 unforgettable. In his short career, and Spanish is the player that has more individual victories with 36, including six Grand Slams, and being 46 weeks at No. 1. In recent months there has been at his best, but no doubt it will recover. Fernando Verdasco is currently number 9 in the world, having fallen from the top eight in the Masters Cup. Not like Juan Carlos Ferrero, one player who has raised more sympathetic in recent years, currently rests at number 23 in the world after years in oblivion. Tommy Robredo, Feliciano Lopez, David Ferrer and Nicolas Almagro are the other four players who complete the quota of the best Spanish of today.
