Concerned with the departure of Bridgestone in Formula 1 in 2011, the FIA is considering a convincing alternative for the company, a native of Japan to continue to develop tires for the category after the annual season 2010.

Involved the most in the sport since 1997, Bridgestone is sole tire supplier since 2007. Bridgestone has already announced his intention to leave the sport in the 2010 championship. The Korean Kumho and Hankook are speculative as potential substitute "second" for Bridgestone.

Meanwhile, Michelin said it could reconsider its return to Formula 1 provided that we apply changes to some rules of the competition.

However, FIA continues to rely closely on the permanence of Bridgestone. The entity approved, this year, declining from 14 to 11 sets of tires for each rider to the end of the week. This is expected to achieve lower costs that keeps the Japanese company.
