As in any World Championship, the most striking is seen as the country prepares around Organizing Committee, and begins to put each of the venues that will host each of the teams, as has happened with this World Basketball 2010 to be held in Turkey.

The qualifying teams will be divided into four groups, each involving four sites in the upgraded to dispute each of the five games of the first round, which are detailed below:

Group A:

Kayseri Arena

  • Stadium: Kadir Has Arena (Kayseri)
  • Capacity: 7200 People
  • History: Finished its construction in 2008, the state located in Kayseri will host selections from Germany, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Jordan and Serbia, being located within walking distance of Kadir Has football stadium, where local plays for Kayserispor.

Group B:

Abdi Ipekci Arena - 01

  • Stadium: Abdi İpekçi Arena (Istanbul)
  • Capacity: 12,500 people
  • History: Named in honor of journalist Abdi İpekçi, this sports complex located in the heart of Istanbul was opened in 1986, used by Efes Pilsen basketball team and Fenerbahçe SK Ülkerspor of the Turkish Basketball League, although it is Volleyball Championships headquarters, among other sports.

Group C:

Ankara Arena Stadium - 01

  • Stadium: Ankara Arena (Ankara)
  • Capacity: 10,400 people
  • History: Ankara Arena is one of the stadiums have been built exclusively for the 2010 World Cup, and the one that has been delayed in its construction and be complete by April of this new year, finally replacing the Ankara Atatürk Sport Hall (which makes CASA TED Kolejliler local and Türk Telekom BK of the Turkish Basketball League) that had been chosen as an alternative in case of non completion of works.

Group D:

Halkapinar Arena - 01

  • Stadium: Sport Hall Halkapinar Izmir (Smyrna)
  • Capacity: 10,000
  • History: Construction began in late 2004 and culminated in June 2005, serving as headquarters for different powers of Basketball, Volleyball (FIVB Men's World Championship 2009), Gimnasia y Esgrima (in 2006, hosted the World Championship Fencing)

Halkapinar Arena - 02

Then follow the Elimination Round to be held in the Turkish capital Istanbul, with Headquarters Sinan Erdem Dome stadium, which has a 16,000 capacity.
