Triunfando en la NBA: Charles Barkley

In a new edition of what will be this new section that will be distributed every day Monday, we have to talk about another wing who has become known in the history of the NBA for their physical abilities and for his genius in getting the rebounds.

While one player was overweight, was extremely agile on the court, and its gameplay is very hard to find nowadays, at least in terms meant to the team that is there.

That's why Charles Wade Barkley has been one of the big winners of the NBA, something that has earned him entry into the Hall of Fame player, in 2006.

It started in the NBA playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, who had already veteran players like Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks and Moses Malone, the latter being a sort of mentor for Barkley, and taught him to control his weight problems and helped him conditioned before each game.

After the withdrawal of his companions, Sir Charles was a true star on the team in the Eastern Conference, reaching an average of 14.6 rebounds per game, until it was signed in 1992 by the Phoenix Suns.


In this era saw a rise in his career, which lasted too little because of injuries that kept him out until the All-Star game, until in 1996 decided to move to Houston Rockets, looking for the chance to be champion.

Finally, in 1999, a ruptured tendon in his left quadriceps forced him to be off the court for a few months until April 19, 2000 decided to return to play only six minutes, which were sufficient for get two points, one rebound and one assist.

It was on that day, that after 16 years of NBA career, two gold medals (Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996) and countless calls to All Star Game, the great Charles Barkley was leaving forever the court and passed to the eternity of those remember the golden ages of the NBA.
