Twitter brings you closer to your sports idol

A few weeks ago I told you how Lance Armstrong managed to recover his bicycle through Twitter and Facebook, in a demonstration of how new technologies, if properly used, contribute much to everyday life.

In a little walk by the Sports Bar, I met a list of athletes who are also using Twitter to reach out to their fans, which years ago was unthinkable. I remember several of my friends, we always wondered "what is he doing Maradona at this time", or any other major sport, who assumed as an absolutely unattainable.

Today, we know these inaccessible idols are people like us who also excel at what they do, they sleep, eat, fart and feel cold or heat, as was Andy Murray when he was playing in Doha.
