Mario Benedetti loved football and "Celeste" with a real feeling "Charrúa. Its exquisite view of football, described with such talented and immortal calligraphy, claimed each stroke as poetry and art of the game we love on one side and the other the Rio de la Plata.

Born in Paso de los Toros, Montevideo, Benedetti grew intoxicated by the booming eastern football, perhaps dreaming of a future of "left pointer", not imagining anything, that would become one of the pens most recognized Latin American literature.

The poet, the Uruguayan, the football fan, left us a legacy full of brilliant and sensitive lyrics and "The Grass", invites us to immerse ourselves in an unknown football, where the treasure of football, the goal can sometimes trigger an painful tragedy.
