Mark Buehrle has just written his name with golden letters in the history of the Chicago White Sox. The pitcher became the 18th player to get a perfect game in the majors. The last time you saw such a feat was five years ago when Randy Johnson did it against Atlanta.

Buehrle not only won hands of fans, but the entire city is filled with festivities. Even President Barack Obama telephoned the pitcher to congratulate him on his achievement.

But the real hero of the meeting was outfielder DeWayne Wise. In the ninth inning, Gabe Kapler hitting a bump launched direct to center. Buehrle crossed his fingers when he saw the ball in the air, imploring all the gods that was not run. Then came Wise, a quantum leap that caught the ball inches from the fence to fly. A move which earned a record for posterity.
