A promise is a debt. Comes the second part of special summer movie devoted to sports. On this occasion, I present my selection of 15 contemporary films that every sport lover should have in your library. All films are produced from 2000 to date, and there is something for everyone.

1. Duel of the Titans (2000) (Remember the Titans)

One of the best football films ever filmed. Epic and compelling, a great story about sports and racial integration. Denzel Washington in all its glory.

2. Shaolin Soccer (2001) (Siu lam juk kau)

Hilarious film produced in Hong Kong, in which a kung fu master gathers his disciples to assemble a football team.

3. The Freshman (2002) (The Rookie)

It is never too late to start in sport. A minor league coach living his dream of becoming a major league pitcher.

4. Playing with destiny (2002) (Bend it like Beckham]

From my personal favorite. A memorable film that explores how football can break gender barriers. Great performance from Keira Knightley.

5. Million Dollar Baby (2004) (Million Dollar Baby]

The box always gives us great dramas, and this is no exception. The pair Hillary Swank - Clint Eastwood creates magic on screen. Not for nothing was the Oscar.

6. Wimbledon (2004) (Wimbledon]

Romance. Tennis. Wimbledon. Kirsten Dunst. What more could you want? The best film I've seen tennis (although, well, not so plentiful).

7. Dodgeball: balls in play (2004) (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story)

Ok, the 'burn' is not a sport, but the movie is great. The parody of 'ESPN8: The Eight' on specialized channels, it is worth the whole film. Hilarious.

8. Gol! (2005) (Goal!)

A good film for a weekend popcorn. It portrays the life of Santiago Nunez, Mexican player coming to Newcastle. There are sequels, but are Malito.

9. Screaming and kicking (2005) (Kicking & Screaming)

Will Ferrell has distinguished itself by making sports parodies, and this is their best work. Hilarious. Must-see the cliché of Italian children.

10. Hooligans: defending yours (2005) (Hooligans)

Dramatic film that reflects the underworld of British bar, about violence, camaraderie, friendship and respect.

11. The world's longest penalty (2005) (The world's longest penalty]

A Spanish film to give variety to the count. A Third B team plays in a criminal ascent. Difficult to find in Latin America, but is excellent.

12. Rocky Balboa (2006) (Rocky Balboa)

The return of Rocky franchise to the screen. Not the best film in the series, but has its moments. The years weighed.

13. Skating to glory (2007) (Blades of Glory)

Another one of Will Ferrell at the count. Two former adversaries of skating together to compete in the Olympics as a couple.

14. The Wrestler (2008) (The Wrestler)

Darren Aronofsky's hand and the imposing presence of Mickey Rourke. More arguments? From the very best of the decade, no problem.

15. Rude and vulgar (2008) (Rudo and corny)

To close, this Mexican comedy about the entanglements of national football. Two brothers compete to fulfill her dream of becoming professional players.
