Costa Rica coach Rodrigo Kenton has released those summoned to face Mexico in San Jose (5 September) and will pay visit to El Salvador (September 9) in the tie by one of three passes (and medium) which gives Concacaf. The Ticos, marching Hexagonal leaders, will employ nine elements that are active in foreign leagues.

The ninth foreign side is formed by Charles Johnson (Red Bull New York) and Junior Diaz (Wisla Krakow), midfielders Carlos Hernandez (Melbourne Victory), Celso Borges (Fredrikstad), Cristian Bolanos (Start), and Pablo Herrera (Aalesunds ) and the attackers Froylan Ledesma (Admira), Alvaro Saborio (Sion), and Bryan Ruiz (FC Twente). This list highlights Celso Borges, who has already demonstrated its qualities in the Gold Cup, and Bryan Ruiz, who now has four goals in seven games.

The major problem with Kenton focuses on the goal. Keylor Navas (Saprissa) is injured, so the strategist has called archers Herediano, Adrian de Lemos and Ricardo Gonzalez, and the University keeper, Daniel Cambronero. The list is completed by defender Michael Umana (Liberia), Dario Delgado (Puntarenas), Dennis Marshall (Herediano), Jose Villalobos (Carthaginian), Heiner Mora (Bruges), Giancarlo Gonzalez (Alajuelense) midfielders Cristian Oviedo (Alajuelense) Warren Granados (Ramonense), Walter Centeno (Saprissa), Armando Alonso (Saprissa), Esteban Sirias (Liberia), Esteban Granados (Carthaginian), and the attackers Alejandro Sequeira (Ramonense) and William Sunsing (Liberia).
