Martín Demichelis

With this post I inaugurate a series of special entries on Latin American players who will participate in the Champions League. Paradoxically, it is impossible to conceive the best European tournament without the cooperation of former New World players. Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Diego Forlan, Lisandro Lopez, Julio Cesar, Rafael Marquez, Alexandre Pato, Gonzalo Higuain, Fernando Gago ... the role of each of the players of America puts a special flavor to the competition's biggest clubs worldwide. So without further ado, the analysis of Group A.

Bayern Munich

The Bavarian club has in its ranks with few Latinos, but who serve in key roles. His reference is Argentine defender Martin Demichelis, the key to the rear albiceleste, who plays as a central midfielder or as containment. Back also is the youth Breno, Brazilian defender just 20 years, which in turn became tempted by Real Madrid and Juventus. Finally, in the middle of the field is another Argentine, Jose Sosa, who plays as a midfielder. The Prince, of just 23, was selected during the stage of Alfio Basile

Juventus

Diego Juve

The Turin team is a team with Brazilian flavor. In midfield with Felipe Melo, with international canarinha just call at the club after good step by Fiorentina. Up front they have to Amauri, who reached the Veccia proviniente Signora Palermo. Interestingly, Amauri might last little Brazilian, because after seven years in Italy, has never been called up to the verdeamarelha, and says that desoiría Azzurri call * *. But without doubt the greatest exponent of jogo bonito is Diego, who is coming to calcium after leaving behind a Bundesliga that he was too long. The template closes the Uruguayan Martin Caceres, who is on the Juve after a disappointing spell at Barcelona.

Girondis de Bordeaux

Cavenaghi

The picture is directed by Laurent Blanc and Latin references to Argentine Fernando Cavenaghi, formerly of River which forms a formidable duo with the Moroccan Chamahk Maroua. In defense, has Girondis Brazilian Carlos Henrique, on loan from Barcelona former Flamengo and Argentine Diego Placente, which puts the experience behind. In midfield, there are two Brazilians: Fernando Menegazzo, wheel of Italian origin, and Wendel, who came to France midfielder Santos proviniente. Finally, the attack is Jussie, who plays for Bordeaux since 2007.

Maccabi Haifa

FBL-EUR-C3-RCD ESPANYOL-MACCABI HAIFA

The Israeli army, composed almost entirely of players, is adorned with three Latin American countries. The figure is a Brazilian Gustavo Boccoli, midfielder named player of the year in the Israeli Premier after scoring 12 goals and send 9 touchdown passes. Another is the Colombian midfielder John Jairo Culma, short for Independent pass, and known for his aggressive style. Finally, at the tip of Argentina is EIAL Strahm, 20 years young come to Maccabi Haifa of River Plate. As a curiosity, Strahm is the mark of 42 goals in 50 games in lower divisions.
