The Mexican tournament has reached the half, and the figures for these eight matches left some interesting reflections. Here they share six notes.
Chivas de Guadalajara and Pumas de la UNAM should start thinking about the next tournament. The Sacred Flock is the worst defense of the Open with 18 goals against, and is ranked 15 overall table. For its part, the university square and seven defeats sum is placed in position 16. Not a miraculous recovery puts them in the league (even with the sui generis of the tournament, then it is not known). Both history should focus on saving what is left with as much dignity as possible. Indios de Ciudad Juarez Gallos Blancos de Querétaro are not for the first division. The border team magic ran out last tournament, where the adrenaline of the decline took them to the semifinals. For its part, Queretaro table has nothing to do in the top flight. Two points from a possible 24 are a disgrace. Neither the arrival of Carlos Reinoso has reversed the negative trend.
America is not accidental but a product of patience. The momentum of the Eagles is because they have built one of the most powerful backbones Mexican soccer: Ochoa, Mosqueda, Pardo, Montenegro and cabanas. Honorable mention for Jesus Ramirez, who after a shaky start, his experiments showed that the arrest has to lead the Azulcrema. Finally the investment pays off, and everything indicates that she will be the league full of features. Puebla repeated as the black horse and seems unstuck in fighting relegation. Curious case of the Angelopolis team, the only undefeated in the tournament (three wins, five draws). The Chelis shows you have advanced knowledge of tactics, posing a team that can play as a visitor and whose greatest virtue is to stop the ball. Too bad the no Puebla on their homecourt advantage. Special mention their indiscipline, including cards and fines. The Gaza has five expulsions and 30 warnings. Unbeaten by dint of kicks. The boom in Mexican front flower seems to be one day. The current scoring leader is the Paraguayan Salvador Cabanas (America), with seven cucumbers. This is followed by Argentine Daniel Luduena (Santos), Emanuel Villa (Cruz Azul), with six. Néstor Calderón (Toluca), Miguel Sabah (Morelia), and Javier Hernandez (Chivas) escort with five, while Aldo De Nigris (Monterrey) and Juan Carlos Cacho (Pachuca) van with four. Mexicans are not that far, but foreign navy begins to detach. And one of those, Hector Mancilla (Toluca) and Bruno Marioni (Estudiantes), also with four, stuck the jump. Finally, the guillotine has been quiet, but seems to reserve the best for the final stretch. So far, only Hector Medrano (Querétaro) and Paco Ramirez (Chivas) have lost the job. In the scaffold are Ricardo Ferreti (UNAM), Hector Hugo Eugui (Indians), Ricardo Lavolpe (Atlas), and Luis Fernando Tena (Chiapas). Being more sticklers, Sergio Bueno (Santos) and Daniel Guzmán (Tigers) must put their beards to soak. I predict that we will see, at least three other technicians dismissed.
