Oscar Cordoba

It seems that the returns are in fashion. On this occasion, was Eduardo Lara who decided to dust off the box of memories and summoned the goalkeeper Oscar Cordoba. The former Boca Juniors goalkeeper came to the Colombian national team as emergency solution after injury Agustin Julio. Thus, Córdoba ends three years without wearing the shirt of their national team.

Despite its jetatura, Oscar Cordoba comes as second goalkeeper, as the backup David Ospina is, in theory, has to cover the absence of July as part coffee. Still, Millonarios goalkeeper has opportunities to play regularly, since competition is open to Ospina. Colombia is to pass anything to lose the World Cup since running eighth, and even mathematics has options, it seems unlikely to be the feat.

Oscar Cordoba is a living legend. Boca won the Torneo Clausura (1999), two Open (1998 and 2000), two Libertadores Cups (2000 and 2001) and an Intercontinental Cup (2000). Its qualities brought him to Europe, but spent the night in the Italian league with Perugia, and found only continuity in Turkey with Besiktas and Sivasspor. I think that with the sad scenario for Colombia, Lara has been called to pay their last homage to the giant. Cordoba is a meeting of 100 appearances for his country. I bet that, in Chile or Paraguay, covering the goal we shall see as in the past, when the skies of the Bombonera and touched the sky with the gloves.
