Fortin got over the defeat by 3 to 2 with Boca's last weekend and won, and local, Argentinos Juniors for one to zero. Maximiliano Moralez, former Racing, scored the only goal of the game. It was a game locked, complicated, with an Argentine who at times was better than all Gareca, who suffered too much to get this new victory to catapult to the top of the Apertura 2009.

The game started evenly, with both teams trying to generate threat on goal but without success. Cristaldo and Moralez were the most dangerous attack fortinero while Hauche Oberman and demanded of the last line of all Liniers.
