The U of Chile for coach

The U of Chile, one of the most important teams in his country, is out of Argentine coach since Jose Pepe Basualdo submitted his resignation. The leaders of the U got a deadline: 2 weeks, time limit to define a new coach, close engagement, and put at the helm.

The list of candidates is huge, more than 15 names have been heard in these last days as candidates for the bench of the Blues. Caruso Lombardi was the first name, but the possibility deflates with the passing of the days. Gustavo Costas, current coach of Alianza Lima, Jose Chemo Del Solar, leaving the bank near the Peruvian selected, and Gerardo Pelusso, with which supposedly is an agreement in principle, are the names that have more chances. Behind them are technicians of different profiles such as Gregorio Perez, Miguel Angel Russo, Abel Balbo, Francisco Maturana, Miguel Angel Brindissi, Diego Cagna, Hernan Dario Gomez, Gustavo Alfaro, Pablo Marini, Jorge Pellicer and Jorge Sampaoli.

Messy and little judicious searching of the new DT: without a defined profile, a sort of "balance board" where the coach who makes the best offer will win a place on the bench, regardless of the characteristics of the campus. Bad for a team that will be required to represent Chile at the upcoming Copa Libertadores.
