Juan Sebastián Verón was elected the best player of the Copa Libertadores 2009, at an event organized by CONMEBOL. The player also received a check for $ S30.000 part of one of the sponsors of the competition, which has pledged to donate the same amount to the foundation Entreculturas, Fe y Alegría del Chaco, chosen by Veronica.
