Auckland City FC defeated Al Ahly host the presentation of both teams in the Club World Cup. The New Zealand team won by 2 to 0, with goals from Dickinson, at the close of the first half, and Coombes, who put a terrible left-footed shot midway through the second stage.

With this result, New Zealanders from Auckland to qualify for the quarterfinals of the competition, where the expected Mexican Atlante, great candidate to keep the key. The Concachampions champion would be the first Mexican team to reach the finals of Clubs. Have with that: a good mix of experienced and young players with a future, along with a remarkable defensive solidity (only 7 goals against in CONCACAF Champions League) are their weapons. This series will rival Barcelona in the semifinals.

The other quarterfinal clash is the TP Mazembe of Congo, and South Korea's Pohang Steelers. The oriental top winners of the AFC Champions League, and the Brazilian Sergio Farias in the bank are, in my opinion, the great candidate to qualify for semifinals, the good results obtained in the last season, and for good game cutting offensive. The Mazembe, meanwhile, regained the top spot in African football was able hold on to late 60's, which reached 4 finals of the Champions League straight, devoting two of them. Today they are a tough team and practice, which takes its maximum Tresor Mputu figure. The winner of this key must be measured against Estudiantes de La Plata, the last champion of the Copa Libertadores.
