Messi wins FIFA Player of the Year

2009 was the year of Messi. The Argentine won the FIFA award of Player of the Year, beating at the polls to Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka. This year has just lifted eight trophies (six with Barcelona and two singles) and was present in the final scoring against Manchester United, Athletic Bilbao and Estudiantes de la Plata.
