2010: welcome to the year of the World

The wait has ended: 2010 is here. World Cup Year, year of passions unleashed across the globe. 32 national teams to face veil weapons in the world may just Balompédica. Gone was 2009, the year of qualifying. In South America witnessed the dominance of Brazil, Chile lofty ranking, the ever dutiful Paraguay, the stormy path of Argentina and Uruguay's expertise to jump on the bandwagon at the last minute, and the sad removal of Ecuador, the frustrated dream Colombia and the promising (but futile) struggle in Venezuela. Remain in the past the U.S. exponential growth, the resurrection of Mexico at the hands of Ahmed, and the return of Honduras to the World Cup, like the decline of Costa Rica in the final stretch, or the good work of Charles de Cobos with a nascent El Salvador.

2010 and came. Chance juicy duels has prepared us for the next World Cup. Mexico and Uruguay sharing group, risking probably including the last date your pass to the knockout. The dubious Argentina against Nigeria in mystery, in a reunion of old acquaintances in youth world. Paraguay measured to Italy, or Chile against powerful Spain. What Honduras, prepared for the assault? Not to mention Brazil, who face two teams that historically, touted offensive football: Ivory Coast and Portugal.

Many questions loom for this year. Can Argentina, Maradona's hand, make a decent World, or we go to a wreck of colossal proportions? Brazil, the eternal candidate, will lift the Cup in a new continent? "Mexico and Uruguay may bypass the local group of South Africa and the ailing (but still runner-up) France? Will Paraguay, Chile and United States one of the black horses? Do you reach to Honduras for more than an anecdotal reference? Whatever it is, here in the sports section are more than ready.
