He turns his back

Fabio Capello announced the 30-man squad to face Switzerland on 6 February and, to the surprise of some, Beckham was left out of payroll.

On the absence of midfielder, currently playing in the U.S. Galaxy, the Italian coach said:

"I told him that even comes into my plans and that once again we regularly play well fix it."

The no call for Beckham not so surprising considering that the player has not played a match since Nov. 21, as the club finished its season.

To keep fit, Beckham trained with the squad of Arsenal.

"I'm fit and ready to be picked," the player said he hoped to be cited for achieving his 100th with the jersey number 7, England.
