Chile 1962, the final phase

The 1962 World Cup in Chile presented fairly "hot" because the European countries have long complained that the organization had fallen in the Andean country, which considered that did not meet the minimum requirements needed to comply with the event. In the USSR-Yugoslavia game of that first group already took the first violent confrontation when Mujic, through worthless, broke the tibia and fibula Dubinski Russian defender. that defender had to withdraw from football and even ended up amputating the leg. Minetras for the third and fourth place Chile defeated Yugoslavia 1-0 in the final Brazil faced Czechoslovakia. It was 17 June 1962, and the selection canarinha proved its superiority by winning the final 3-1 with goals from Amarildo, Zito and Vava, who became the first player to score in two finals of a World Cup.
