There are few athletes who do not know the need to be properly hydrated but know that water not only hydrates? Today in Sports space will tell you the consequences of mild dehydration and how hydrated without getting tired.

Everybody knows it takes two liters and two pints to be properly hydrated and the body to function at 100%.

But did you know that all beverages hydrate? This helps us to get to eat the amount of liquids that experts recommend we so tirelessly, since we can vary between different flavors and products, and also has a double benefit as you can stay hydrated and in turn acquire the sugar and energy you need to do your exercises.

This has been addressed in the Second National Congress of hydration which was discussed in depth the consequences of dehydration of 2%, better known as mild dehydration.

The immediate consequences involved could be lack of attention and memory, and in turn poor performance. If we think about the consequences later could be a lack of concentration, tiredness and fatigue, or sleepiness problems.

For those who are making exercise adequate hydration is essential to carry out the sport with health and safely.

But it is also important for other populations such as pregnant women as adequate fluid intake will help them cope with the bodily changes involved in pregnancy. Similarly, it is essential for mothers who are breastfeeding and that the correct fluid intake helps the mother to produce milk.

Another part of the population are older people to be their decreased thirst sensation usually drink less water than they should and are at risk.
