Denver Nuggets caresses the classification and raises its head in Toronto

At last we seem to have clear who will be the eighth ranked West. Denver Nuggets beat the Houston Rockets 111-94 in Colorado with Iverson scoring 33 points and JR Smith doing a Carmelo Anthony Fallon.

(These days I've been talking a lot about the intense battle between the Warriors and Nuggets for eighth in the West. As in the west is also fighting for more jobs, I have separated the analysis. Here is the fight for first place)

The Nuggets beat the Rockets and are now virtually playoff teams. Simply Golden State lost to the Suns in Phoenix and case closed. The dream is over for Oakland, but may be proud of being left out of playoffs with about 50 wins (still getting them all point to the non-classified).

If the Warriors win tonight at Phoenix, the Nuggets could simply beat Memphis Grizzlies in Denver to get eighth place, which would lead them to play against Lakers or, less likely, against New Orleans Hornets.

Toronto is not getting off

This year also will be the year in Toronto. For the past two months has been losing a lot and probably finish in seventh place in the east, now occupied by Philadelphia, seeing the evolution of both sets. This final regular season was unthinkable just four months ago when the Raptors won who put them ahead.

Calderon is coming off the bench doing better numbers than TJ Ford (although not in points). This summer will be free to negotiate with any team he wants to sign him, but Toronto Raptors have the final say on its future.

We hear rumors that Denver Nuggets would be interested in it. This option would have two aspects. Calderon holder and would surely play many minutes, but next to a player who likes to have the ball, even guard: Allen Iverson. However, if Denver is launching a bid to Calderon, the Raptors could match it and keep it. By accepting this appointment in Toronto, Calderon misses an opportunity to showcase (roughly) and the contract you can offer would be feasible also for the Raptors, who created stayed with him.

So for Calderon to succeed individually once in the NBA, it was best that Toronto got rid of TJ Ford, a good base but does not accept that someone is equated. Too much ego that abounds in Yankee land.
