The NBA Finals 2008 are coming to an end after the Celtics win the Lakers 97-91 in Los Angeles. They are 3-1 and one win of their first ring in 20 years.

The party of yesterday was won by the Celtics. The Lakers lost. Blew a 24-point lead after a first quarter in which they wrap up the game (finished with 21 points ahead). They let themselves go up 97-91 and put the final 3-1 in the tie. The Celtics need to win only one more game and two of the three that remain are in Boston.

"I do not believe it yet," said Paul Pierce. "I just want to go out there and win the fifth game on Father's Day.

No team had rallied over 15 points difference after the first quarter, and this is the greatest comeback in a finals since 1971.

Paul Pierce scored 20 points, Kevin Garnett 16 with 11 rebounds and Ray Allen 19. Rajon Rondo played last but 15 minutes only.

What will happen next? Draw their own conclusions. Even the most optimistic fan of the Lakers is not the ring. The Lakers must win their remaining three games and no team in NBA history has managed to overcome a 3-1 deficit against in a Finals. Kobe Bryant played a horrible game, with only 6 of 19 successful field goals, to score 19 points, Lamar Odom scored 15 and Pau Gasol remained at 17 with 10 rebounds.

The Lakers 31-15 a partial fit in the third quarter, which came with a lead of 18 points.

Pau Gasol is very far from his dream of a ring in the NBA. If finally fails, you have time and room for improvement again next year to fight for the title. Boston Celtics may become the first team that can win the ring being the best regular season since San Antonio Spurs achieved in 2003.
