Not the best writer of Hollywood could have written something similar. Rafael Nadal won his first Wimbledon in ways unimaginable. Roger Federer had won five (which is said to soon) Wimbledon tournaments in a row and looked for the sixth straight for more than Björn. But soon he twisted things. The first two sets were won by Rafael Nadal, 6-4 both, the Spaniard had everything ahead, but Federer is far and managed to get Federer 5-4 in the third set, at which time the ubiquitous rain came on the scene these latitudes . The game was stopped after about an hour and the great titans of tennis today (and the largest in history) once again as two gladiators fighting. The third and finished in the fourth set tiebreaker. Both are Swiss Roger Federer got his way and won. 6-7 each. There remained the last and final fifth set, with the forces to the limit but with the claw that give these tournaments and these finals. 2.2 was the fifth set when rain returned. It was thought that power was not going to end this grand finale on Sunday, but eventually the rain stopped and the players could go out to fight a duel for the Wimbledon trophy. How could it be otherwise, we came back to 5-5. As the final set tie-break is not the party could take up where necessary. It was not. Rafael Nadal was 8-7 with the serve for and did not fail, although we had even deuce in the final game. 9-7 in the final set and Rafa Nadal, a lad of just 22 years, dethroning Roger Federer, erecting master of Wimbledon 42 years after Manolo Santana did. At the celebration were all praise for each other. Great players know the great skills of its archrival. Roger Federer said he would return next year to beat Rafa Nadal, who is number 2 in the world. At the U.S. Open could turn the tables. Image: Wimbledon Championship
