The German team basketball will be in Beijing striving for medals after beating Puerto Rico 96-82.

Dirk Nowitzki managed to beat the Puerto Rican team that was without its starting point guard Carlos Arroyo. Instead, Jose Juan Barea, Dallas Mavericks, caught on a great performance by scoring 16 points.

Germany's Nowitzki, the Robin Hood of Dallas, scored 32 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, not wanting to see how his country was outside the Olympics. I wanted to defend their last elastic.

Germany thus joins Greece and Croatia as the three teams qualified for the Olympics, joining the nine who were waiting to know their rivals.

Spain, meanwhile, completed a crushing victory over his executioner in the final of last Eurobasket its first serious test ahead of the Olympics. Won 91-56. The scoring of the selection was Pau Gasol with 16 points. By Russia, the best was Andrei Kirilenko had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Spain is well trampling rivals as it did with Portugal (needless to say that is a much lower level) yesterday.

I only have 19 days to start the most important sports event in four years. We are all looking forward to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
