The Spanish Carlos Sastre will be the manager not to relax the Spanish hegemony in the current cycling. Emerged victorious in the time trial on Saturday, 53 miles, and will wear the yellow jersey tastes by the crowded streets of Paris. Oscar Pereiro in 2006. In 2007, Alberto Cash r. 2008 will be Carlos Sastre. El Avila, who came to this Tour without making much noise about the case Alberto Contador and because everyone was Alejandro Valverde as the best Spanish asset proved to everybody that whoever gets it is. Since 2004 was jelling very great performances in the Tour, always regular in the race, but never won the big prize. Tomorrow is the big day, if any misfortune prevents higher order. Carlos Sastre came to the trial of 53 miles in 1:34 ahead of Cadel Evans, his main rival Denis Menchov and 2:39 on dangerous on all fronts. The Australian showed last year and the first trial of this Tour that had enough capacity to cut that time and we were few who believed that Carlos Sastre was leaving with a very small advantage over Evans. However, the yellow jersey did his job. Whoever takes it, flies. And that happened on Saturday. Carlos Sastre rolled out very confident and pedaling cadence on a day that seemed a consummate trialists. In the first official reference we found out that Carlos Sastre would win this Tour de France. Cadel Evans could not be with him and Denis Menchov, Evans better than not mount up the more than two and a half minutes or crazy. Carlos Sastre crossed the finish with only 29 seconds lost to Australia and thus keeps the yellow jersey, 1:05 ahead of him and 1:20 on the third, Bernhard Kohl, points jersey in the mountains. Samuel Sánchez will end the 2008 Tour in seventh place and Alejandro Valverde in ninth after losing two minutes on Carlos Sastre in the latter trial. Image: EFE
