Carlos Sastre wins Tour de France 2008

After the time trial yesterday met the new world champion Tour de France, but the process must be passed (or walk, call it what you will) in Paris to be crowned champion of the gala round. Carlos Sastre is the new king of cycling .

Neither was injured, or an asteroid fell on the run, or any of the Silence Lotto rider smacked into him. It was not anything unusual that might break the dream of the Madrid based in Avila Carlos Sastre and therefore became a champion of the Tour de France 2008 in the wake of Oscar Pereiro and Alberto Contador, and thus reaching the zenith of its its 33-year career, the last being chief ranks of his team after assimilating experience of others as being gregarious or Ivan Basso Joseba Beloki.

Carlos Sastre the seventh Spanish is already rising to the top of the podium in Paris. Before him, Bahamontes, Ocaña, Delgado, Indurain, Pereiro and Contador. It is the third straight win for the Spanish cycling in the Tour de France, which together with the victory of Alberto Contador's Giro d'Italia may culminate with another Spanish victory in the Tour of Spain. Only once a country has won all three Grand Tours.

Cadel Evans and Bernhard Kohl finished second and third respectively. The mountain jersey took him Bernhard Kohl after demonstrating that it has legs to give and take and that war will from now on.

The green jersey was regularly for Oscar Freire, who was mathematically achieved before starting the stage in Paris. It is the first time in the history of the Tour de France that a Spanish get this jersey.

The young rider of the Tour was the partner in CSC's Carlos Sastre, Andy Schleck. The CSC also had another top prize, the best team, the prize for fighting, who won Pereiro in his day, was for Chavanel.

The Tour de France 2008 comes to an end. The next major sports event will be the Olympics, which begin Aug. 8.
