This is already reaching for the best. Rafael Nadal will face Novak Djokovic for a place in the final of the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Rafael Nadal ended with Austria's Jurgen Melzer in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4 to become semifinalists in the Beijing Olympics. There he will wait a tough nut to crack, which has won 9 times in 13 games (on hard courts, Nadal lost 2-4). This tennis player in question is Novak Djokovic, world number 3, which reached the semifinals by winning the Frenchman 4-6 6-1 6-4 in two hours.

Both fight for a place in the final, which would be the sixth final to Djokovic this year and the thirty-ninth in the history for Rafa Nadal, who recently won Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

In the end do not expect Roger Federer, who lost to American James Blake in straight sets 6-4 7-6, showing that this year is being hard on him. He vanished the possibility of a medal for the Swiss (in the next games, if Fabian Cancellara is involved, should be the leader). It is the first time James Blake beat a world No. 1 (remember that it is Roger Federer until 18).

In the semi-final, James Blake will play Chilean Fernando Gonzalez, head of series number 12, which won the bronze medal in Athens 2004.

Tennis at the Olympics reaches its decisive phase. The semi-final between Djokovic and Nadal will be seen today from 13.30 (Spanish time).
