Carl Barat will record new album with Eyes On Film

A few days ago, Axel was a brief overview of the musical career of Carl Barat, who is now involved with a new group called Eyes On Film. While we wait to see which is the meeting with Pete Doherty, Barat is good to know that will record a new album with his new teammates.

It was just an interview after his concert debut with Eyes On Film, which was last night in London, when Barat also announced that it is comfortable with them, one of the reasons why they recorded an album very soon:

I found a group that makes music different from what I do, so I thought I'd join them. The concert was also a bit of added pressure, but again I felt the sensation of being in a band again. I did not want to form a new group on my own and did not want to be in a group to have to be apologizing for not being in The Libertines. And Eyes On Me is totally different. I'll record a few songs with these guys. It's the first time I've felt this good in a group in a while.

He declined to give more details or dates on the disk, but get the feeling that they will get to study sooner rather than later. I doubt that will be published before the end of 2012, although it would be nice to hear some progress in the coming months.
